KEY CLUES & HIDING SPOTS
Chapter 1 includes a map of Washington County and contains the words "dunes," "greying," and "cloudy," and the phrase "a post in the east." The prize was hidden at Grey Cloud Dunes Scientific and Natural Area in Cottage Grove, at the base of a wooden post in the east parking lot. Found by Steven Sanftner on 5/4.
Chapter 2 includes a map of Scott County and contains the words "aforementioned," "Pykes," "mystical," and "tree," and the phrase "Finding his place with the tribe." The prize was hidden at Pike Lake Park in Prior Lake, at the base of a tree with a broken-off branch. Found by Ben Fischer on 5/9.
Chapter 3 includes a map of Ramsey County and contains the phrase "a once-wretched hive of villainous scum," and the words "roaring," "pyre," and "pride." The prize was hidden at Lions Park in White Bear Lake, in the root of a tree near a grill. Found by Steven Sanftner on 5/6.
Chapter 4 includes a map of Carver County and contains both the word "wash" and the phrase "steady the ship." The prize was hidden at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park in Chanhassen, near a rack of canoes at the non-motorized boat ramp. Found by Ben Fischer on 5/9.
Chapter 5 includes a map of Anoka County and contains the words "damned" (twice), "midstream," "rushing," "base," "Procyon," and "thrusters," and the phrases "breakneck pace," "at high current," and "maximum speed." The prize was hidden at Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park in Coon Rapids, at the base of a sign diverting boaters away from the dam. Found by Josh Ellingson on 5/6.
Chapter 6 includes a map of Dakota County and contains the phrases "into a musky marketplace" and "captain flew off the handle." The prize was hidden at East Lake Community Park in Lakeville, in the crotch of a tree beneath a rusted milk jug lid. Found by Ben Fischer on 5/9.
Chapter 7 includes a map of Hennepin County and contains the word "legion" and the phrases "chosen one's town" and "light the lamp." The prize was hidden at Legion Park in Medina, at the base of a lamp post near the community building. Found by Ben Fischer on 5/9.
The Epilogue includes a map of Minneapolis and contains the words "pioneers," "power," and "tower" and the phrase "into the sands he scratched his initials." The prize was hidden at B.F. Nelson Park in Minneapolis, at the base of a large transmission tower. Found by Steven Sanftner on 5/8.
All eight prizes were hidden in a small pile of sand.
The Chapter 1-7 caches each included a "side quest" for a bonus bounty; each was hidden somewhere in the same county.

Side quest 4 was completed by Ben Fischer at Greenwood Shores in Chanhassen on 5/9.
Side quest 5 was completed by Josh Ellingson at Manomin Park in Fridley on 5/6.
Side quest 6 was completed by Ben Fischer at Galaxie Park in Apple Valley on 5/9.
Side quest 7 was completed by Ben Fischer at Hidden Valley Park in New Hope on 5/9.
The side quest caches each contained an additional hint, as well as a segment of a map depicting the area around the hiding spot (as shown in the "Afterword" video).
