Welcome, Hawks, to Dunwoody Rocks;
It’s time to seize the day!
Simply put: the game is afoot;
Our hunt is under way!

Using deduction, steer clear of construction
And stick to the treasure hunt zone—
The seeker is wise to recognize
That you can’t squeeze blood from a stone.

So beat your retreat down a provincial street
For your first Sisyphean task,
Where a lumberjack clad in crimson plaid
Makes short, light work of the cask!

Stands over the second spot;
Forged in the flames of Olympic games—

Through ten locations—secret stations
Of history, classics, and art,
On a wild goose chase, to roughly trace
The chambers of the heart.

We heard through the vine that if you align
The notch with the tip of the arrow,
You’ll find the path; just trust the math—
And follow the straight and narrow.

So locate the zone of the Dunwoody stone
In its leafy hidey-hole
For a final twist—and a flick of the wrist—
To score the winning goal!

CLUE EXPLANATIONS

Clue #1 references the “bloodstone” theme of this hunt while expanding the previous hunt zone to include all of the 55403 zip code. Its final stanza is intended to suggest the first bloodstone’s location—below Adam Turman’s Paul Bunyan mural at Sisyphus Brewing Co. on Ontario St.
Clue #2 is intended to suggest the second bloodstone’s location, behind Matthew Monahan’s sculpture of “Hephaestus”—the Greek god of blacksmiths—at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden.
Clue #3 is intended to suggest the third bloodstone’s location, at the root of an evergreen tree at the edge of the cascades at Thomas Lowry Park; the clue is also intended to suggest building a “bloodstone box” by finding prizes associated with individual clues (and mapping them)—and that the final bloodstone medallion would be found somewhere within the shape formed by “connecting the dots.”
Clue #4 is intended to suggest the fourth bloodstone’s location, at a “spooky shack” along Kenwood Parkway, at the end of Waverly Place. Near the end of the hunt, the words “a teenage wizard” were linked to the opening credit sequence from the Disney Channel series “Wizards of Waverly Place.”
Clue #5 is intended to suggest the fifth bloodstone’s location, on a grassy island in Dunwoody’s parking lot shaped like a dinosaur (labeled as “West Wayzata Boulevard” on Google Maps)—near the infamous 394-94 merge. The clue also links to a doctored version of the Jurassic Park trailer that incorporates satellite images of the island in shots at 0:35, 0:49, and 0:57.
Clue #6 is intended to suggest the sixth bloodstone’s location at Robert Indiana’s “Love” sculpture at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, while also hinting that the final medallion was hidden somewhere on a line from the sculpture to the Clue #4 location (i.e. by connecting the “notch” to the “tip” of the heart shape formed by connecting the ten hiding spots). Astute hunters would have also picked up on the nod to Dunwoody’s quarterly rocks goal structure.
Clue #7 is intended to suggest the seventh bloodstone’s location at the James Turrell sculpture “Sky Pesher” at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden (“Pesher” is a Hebrew root term meaning “interpretation”); the bloodstone for this location was hidden near a high point (edge of heaven) behind the installation, which is currently closed for construction.
Clue #8 is intended to suggest the eighth bloodstone’s location at Fremont Triangle, with its “massive urn” (just down Mt. Curve Ave. from the long-ago razed mansion of W.H. Dunwoody).
Clue #9 is intended to suggest the ninth bloodstone location, at the end of a “secret dock” at Spring Lake behind the Parade Ice Gardens.
Clue #10 is intended to suggest the Dunwoody Medallion’s location at the center of the heart shape formed by connecting the dots with each of the ten smaller bloodstones’ locations, while also hinting at the last of those locations: hidden by ivy in the goal return slot of the Dunwoody College foosball table (the words “a flick of the wrist” were linked to a video showcasing the foosball table’s creation as part of Dunwoody’s Design For Manufacturing: 3D Printing class); this was, in turn, a hint at the medallion’s location—just south of the soccer goal at Parade Park, hidden by ivy on a chain link fence, near a twisted cedar tree. Finders of the final bloodstone were also given a bonus clue instructing them to use the “table as [a] map / To the south side of The Parade!”
The Final Clue points at the medallion’s location on the fence, attached with a carabiner.

In addition to the heart-shaped “bloodstone box” formed by combining the ten locations, each of the smaller bloodstones was also hidden with a QR Code that linked to a page containing a single letter; put together in the proper order, those letters spell “SO PARADE PK,” suggesting hunters search the south end of Parade Park.

YAMMER BANNER CLUES
The Weekly Trivia group on Yammer was updated periodically with icons and script that was faded in over time in the following order:

55403: This set the parameters of the hunt being in the 55403 zip code.
“Eleven Items”: Clues hunters in to the fact there are 10 bonus hides and 1 final hide.
Heart: Oriented to the right, the shape matches the outline of the locations of the bonus hides and hints at the fact the final bloodstone is heart-shaped.
Soccer Ball: A double meaning both referencing the location of the 10th bonus hide (foosball table) and the main hide which was located behind the southern soccer goal on the fence at Parade Park.
“3DPT2200”: A reference to the class that constructed the foosball table. The class number is also printed directly onto the foosball table leading hunters to the location of the 10th bonus hide where an extra clue was hidden for all to see.
The “profile picture” was also updated to reflect a bloodstone background while any script used in the banner image utilized a font called ‘Bloodstone’
